BBM Vohren collaborates with startport a leading innovation platform shaping the future of logistics
BBM Vohren and startport, the innovation platform of the Duisburger Hafen AG have entered into a cooperation agreement. The partnership will leverage startport’s accelerator and incubator program and BBM’s experience in building new ventures to promote young companies with disruptive innovations in logistics and supply chain. In particular, BBM and its network partners will support startport in DeepTech Innovation projects related to 3D printing, AI or IoT.
Within a one-year accelerator and incubator program startport supports outstanding startups in their work building new business models and finding first customers with market-ready products. An important component of this concept are services of network partners from logistics, industry and consulting. BBM thus complements the contributions of companies such as Cisco, Deutsche Bank, Evonik, Fraunhofer IML, NRW.Bank or Roland Berger.
“For startport-startups, our network is one of the most valuable components of our program. Strong partners are essential for us and we are happy to have won another good partner for our network with BBM Vohren,” said Gregor Marx, Executive Manager and authorized signatory of startport.
“Our business is the development of new ventures. With over 15 years of experience in deep tech and life sciences, we know that the truly disruptive innovations take place at interfaces between industries and technologies. Therefore, we are happy to support startports concept of promoting startups by network partners from different industries.” said Rudolf Schulze Vohren, Managing Director of BBM Vohren. “On the other hand, we know that the integration of innovative logistic and supply chain processes will become an important competitive factor. Even in highly regulated industries such as healthcare. Therefore, it is also important for us to learn from the young companies at Startport about the opportunities AI, Additive Manufacturing, IOT and other digitally driven technologies can offer.
